ekwal is a young Swiss non-profit organisation with the purpose of sustainably improving and promoting the educational opportunities and living conditions for people with low income in the Kwale region of Kenya.
Our name is composed of the words "equal" and "Kwale". equal means to us that every person deserves an equal chance in life. We implement this with projects in the areas of school education, empowerment, health care and environmental education in the Kwale region of Kenya.
The whole ekwal team works voluntarily. All donations flow directly and fully into the project.

Individual membership CHF 90.00 (payable annually or with monthly installments of CHF 7.50)
Corporate membership CHF 500.00
We kindly ask you to pay the membership fee after completion of the membership or with a monthly standing order. In subsequent years, we will send you an invoice at the beginning of the year by e-mail.

Donations
Thanks to your donations, ekwal is able to maintain projects on site in the long term. 100% of the donations are used for projects in Kwale, Kenya. The team of ekwal works on a voluntary basis, so no salary is paid.
ekwal is recognised by the Swiss tax authorities as a non-profit organisation. Donations can be deducted from taxes. Donors will automatically receive a donation confirmation by e-mail from an amount of CHF 100.00 and above. For donations under CHF 100.00 confirmations are only sent on request.
